OUR HISTORY

 

In January 2009 Minister Tyrone Ford, First Lady Kadell Ford and several men and women started having discussions regarding starting a new church ministry.  After Minister Tyrone Ford were in constant prayer and consultation with God for several weeks on what direction that he should take, and for God to reveal to him what he wanted him to do.  Minister Ford announced after 2 month of seeking God and his approval, God gave him the vision to begin a new church ministry under the name of "United for Christ Freewill Baptist Church", Non-Profit.  March 14, 2009 the first Bible Study was taught by Minister Tyrone Ford at Lake Vist Park.  April 4, 2009, Minister Ford called a meeting at 5004 Tangerine Ave South, Gulfport, FL,  to discuss Moving forward with the new church ministry.  A total of 25 people along with Minister Ford voted 100% to move forward with our new church name, "United For Christ Freewill Baptist Church".  All 25 people that were present at this meeting voted 100% for Minister Ford to be elected as the Pastor.  April 1, 2009 (Easter) was the church first worship service at Scout Hall, Gulfport, FL.  United for Christ Freewill Church relocated to 4116 34th Street South, St Petersburg, FL and was there for 3 1/2 years until relocating to 930 18th St So, St Petersburg in August 2013.  In 2013 God also gave Pastor Ford the vision to become a Non Denomination Church and remove the Baptist from the church name.. 

 

1st Lady Kadell Ford wear many hats in the church.  Prior to United For Christ she was the Church Secretary of her previous Church for over 20 years. She has been the church Executive administrator/secretary for United For Christ for the past 7 years.   She has been employed with St Petersburg college for over 13 years.  She completed her 2 year Degree in 2007.  She Completed her BA degree in Human Development in 2010 from Eckerd college in St Petersburg. She is active in advising couples and young adults in their personal life as well as advising married couples.  She is active in the Pastors Wives Ministry.  She sincerely loves the Lord and put her heart and soul into serving God and the Church.  She is a dedicated mother and wife.  She is truly our 1st Lady.

OUR MISSION:  To promote Christian worship and instructions.  To Lead all Souls to the Salvation, and Rebirth and renewed spirit in Jesus Christ, and the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.

We are 501(3) (c) accredited Non Profit, and NON DENOMINATIONAL in worshipping God and Jesus Christ.
