Confidence in Your flesh

Now days we see on the internet, TV, Cell Phone, Tablet, Computers and books and magazines, how the world pedal the flesh. Meaning to get people attention these vehicles use naked women to sell their products mostly and sometimes men.

What the world don't see is the nasty side of the beautiful women or men behind the scene. It now amazes me how women and men dress any kind of way for the world to see their flesh. When I was in the world (lost) without Jesus I wanted to see those things, but now I have no pleasure in them. Yes, I see that women are beautiful in the flesh, but as that old song say's, beauty is only skin deep.

We don't see them when they wake up in the morning, maybe with morning breath, after they come out of the toilet or when sickness have invaded their feeble bodies. What we see is the beauty side of the flesh. That is the side that causes women and men to commit evil acts before God in the flesh.

Paul has this to say about the flesh: (I say has because paul is still alive in Jesus)

SCRIPTURE: Philippians 3rd Chapter, For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh 4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. It any other man thinketh that he hath where of he might trust in the flesh, I more.

As I often tell my church members, you would think that all you do for your flesh it would show some appreciation for you, you bathed your flesh everyday, but if you skip a day you will smell the results. You feed your mouth with tasty food and sweet drinks, but instead if you don't brush your teeth and floss, they will start to rot and bring gum disease. You clothes your flesh with some of the best clothes, and yet it will sweat and perspire to let you know it is going to need another bath sooner or later. You put perfume on it to make it smell good, but sooner or later it will start to stink. You exercise it to keep it in shape, but still it want to take on fat and cause you aches and pain.

After you do all these things, and more for your flesh, in the end it won't to die. That is why you should have no confidence in the flesh.

1st Peter, 1st Chapter, 24 Verse, For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away

Put your confidence and trust in Jesus, not in your flesh or the things of this world.
