Gift of Giving
Giving a gift is showing love without saying it out loud. Your gift to someone is an expression of love to that person you had them in your mind.
Those that are receiving the gift must realize that nothing is free because it cost you your earning, time, effort, and thoughts to present them with a gift.
Salvation was not free for us it cost God his son Jesus to have to be born in human form, come to a sinful world, take on human flesh and be subject to everything we are faced with as humans. It cost him to leave his Heavenly Kingdom and being God to come to the earth to die in order to give us the gift of eternal life.
When you give your gifts this Christmas season, you give it freely knowing that it was not free, but you did it for the love of your family, children, spouse and friends. Those who are privy to receive such honor must show thankfulness and appreciation. It is the very same with Jesus Christ to show him love and appreciation for what he did for us being the Son of God. He did not have to do it but he loves his creation, so it did not matter to him to suffer for us and die for our sins.
ST John 3rd chapter, 16th verse, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Man may buy expensive gifts this Christmas, but they cannot offer God money for salvation through Jesus Christ.
To those who are struggling this Christmas Season, if you don't receive any earthly gifts, if you have Jesus, you have the greatest gift of all.
Giving is ministering to the needs of others. Give and it shall be given unto you.
