Devoted Christians

What does Devoted mean? To vow, to set apart, to consecrate yourself, to be totally committed.

We know these are unusual times. We cannot interact with each other as we use to commonly do. This day and time many have used the pandemic as excuse to not get involved with God's church or Ministry. This is the most important time christians should be involved with the Church.

Do you take the time to go everywhere else, and neglect to interact with the church? You are not devoted. You many not be able or afraid to come to the House of God right now, but do you still pay your tithes? Do you check with the church to see what is going on? Do you pray during the day, read scripture during the day or daily? Do you call to check on any saints? If you cannot answer yes to these, you need to check your relationship with Jesus Christ, he is the head of the church.

PSALM 37 Chapter, 3 - 7 verses ---- Commit thy way unto the Lord; 6 Trust in the Lord, and do good; trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as the noonday 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:

Scripture talks about Devout, a word which mean committed to your Christian duties in Christ. Luke 2nd chapter, 25 Verse, And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel (he dedicated his life and time to God, waiting for the promised Messiah Jesus.

Acts 22nd Chapter, 12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law (He followed the Law of Moses as close as he could, to not offend God), having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there.

Devotion to God & Jesus Christ comes with some risk. He was devoted to giving his life, that we may gain eternal life. Matthew 16th Chapter, 21 - 23 verse ---- From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many thing of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee (Peter men well, but Satan was speaking through Peter, to try and stoop Jesus from going to the cross) 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the thing that be of God, but those that be of men.

Paul went through peril after peril, but he said those thing he left behind, he count them as dung. He was devoted to making sure he did the Will of Jesus.
